Announcement of new series with Ilse Waringa

Two years ago, Warringa announced that she was working on a satirical series about fanatical parents of soccer-playing children. The Luizenmoeder star is also directing the series and playing one of the leading roles. Eva van Gessel, Mariana Aparicio, Michiel Nooter, Edwin Jonker, and Bas Hoeflaak are among the other cast members of the comedy series.

“For years, I’ve been standing on the sidelines every weekend watching my two soccer-playing children. When they banned me from cheering and shouting a few years ago, I knew a new comedy series was born,” Warringa said in a press release.

“I’m really looking forward to turning all my experiences as a soccer mom into a relatable and humorous series, because the behavior of parents on the sidelines is something you’re better off laughing about.”

Voetbalouders is expected to premiere in 2025.
